The Angels Women’s Soccer Club has a proud legacy as one of Canada’s most successful women’s programs. The club first established national dominance with an unprecedented five consecutive Canadian National Championships beginning in 1982, a run so impactful that the team was invited to participate in Edmonton’s 1987 declaration as “The City of Champions.” With eleven Canadian National Championship titles to date, Angels remains one of the most decorated women’s soccer organizations in the country.

 

This winning tradition continues today. Our Women’s Classics program added to the club’s storied history by capturing back‑to‑back National Championships in 2023 and 2024, reinforcing Angels SSC as a powerhouse at both senior and Classics levels.

 

Stuart Brown and the legendary 1982 squad were inducted into the EDSA Hall of Fame in 2008 and 2009, further cementing the lasting impact Angels Women’s Soccer has made on the sport in Edmonton and across Canada.
